South America!

Dear all near and dear ones,

Regards from Lima, Peru. We have just had breakfast (time difference -7 hours) and are using the wireless internet connection and Kaarle's laptop. Flights went fine and both were quite empty. On the way to Amsterdam I took a whole row and was able to sleep a bit. On our Lima flight we were able to change to a 3-seated row, which had one empty seat, so I was able to stretch my injured leg and also sleep some more. The plane had individual screens, so you were able to choose what you want to watch. I watched "Finding Nemo" (animation) and "W" - a film of George W. Bush. It was quite interesting, I can recommend it if you're interested in the topic :) Brought new sides of Bush. For example, I didn't know he speaks quite fluent spanish and he's had a tough time proving himself to his dad. And apparently he stopped eating sweet things at some point of the Iraq war, as a symbolic gesture (apparently he felt quite bad that things in Iraq were not going as planned, and no WMDs were found..). And Cheney is indeed a very scary person!

At the airport a Amazing Peru guide was there to receive us and she told us lots of information on our way to the hotel. In the evening we had a shower and had some paella at a nearby restaurant. Was tasty and people friendly.

Last night I slept from ten to 6.20, so was okay. Now after breakfast we will head to the city. Maybe some museums, to the beach and walking around.

Take care! XX
