Regards from humid and hot Delhi. I don't even know how to summarise these past days. 5 nights, 4 different night locations. First was a sauna, a room at a hostel. Second and third night were at the SADED guesthouse, where lives also other SADED people who do not live in Delhi. I couldn't sleep there either. Fourth night was at our family friends' place (Amit & Hruta), who had AC in their bedrooms and I finally able to sleep. Tonight I am at my boss's place. I'm sleeping in their sitting room, which has AC.
There's also been other options but for now it looks like I'll stay here until 5th August, then go back to SADED guesthouse (where they will apparently be installing an AC for me..). I hate to be difficult but it really is quite hot and even the locals are complaining about it. And without sleep, it's pretty hard to be here. I really know this was not the time to come to India, but I really wanted to get this "internship" over with and focus on other stuff the rest of the semester.
The people at SADED have been very hospitable and friendly. Two persons came to collect me from the airport despite my flight arrived at 4 am. They've been constantly asking how I feel and tried to make me comfortable as possible.
I attended a climate change seminar on wednesday, tomorrow is a water seminar and sunday a seminar on Himalaya's ecosystem. I've also made met an English phd-student at the seminar on wednesday and we went together to a cafeteria.
Ah, so much to tell but the heat just sucks your energy. Miss u all.
