Hey! Again where to start. Last weekend I was on Saturday looking for furniture with Riikka at Hauz Khas Village (Family: this is the place we've gone for South Indian meals with Amit and Hruta). In the evening me and Riikka met my friend Irene, who was visiting Delhi from Pakistan. On Sunday I went with Riikka to Khan Market, where I was looking at some shops. Bought some thin cotton kurtis and one trousers for this hot weather. From Khan Market me and Riikka and another Finnish Riikka visited "home" and then went of to South Extension (Arif: this is the place we once bought some jeans and stuff). I bought one Indian top and we went for dinner in the evening.
On Monday I went to Mumbai to see my cousin Runa and was there until yesterday evening. Time went by really quickly. She has baby identical twins (7 months). I slept well there and woke up quite late in the mornings. The maids were even asking Runa "isn't your sister awake yet?" and Runa just told them to let me sleep :) I didn't do any work there as I just spend the days with Runa and babies. On Tuesday and Wednesday evenings we went to Taj restaurants for fancy dinners. One of them was where the terror attacks were last November.. That's why there were now strict security checks. I even got pampered in Mumbai. I got a pedicure at a saloon and got my hair cut :D I never get round to cut my hair, so in that sense it was good to get it here done.
The weather was also so so pleasant in Mumbai. It was around 30 degrees. When Runa's husband heard I've been staying this year in Calcutta and Delhi, he was like "you really know how to pick cities" (for him Delhi is also very hot and in Calcutta everything is old and nothing is modern). I apparently should definitely go next time just to Mumbai!! I had such a good time there that I really felt sad yesterday flying back to Delhi. I should have stayed until Sunday in Mumbai but initially didn't want to stay too long in Mumbai in case I was "in the way". Today is also a party at Amit's and Hruta's place. Tomorrow is India's independence day and apparently Sunday is also a holiday. I feel like going back to Mumbai at some point still and spending some more time with Runa. Ramadan is starting in a week's time and will be till the end of my stay here in India, so if I go to Mumbai I can fast with my cousin :) The rest of her family aren't, so she'd get some company.
I am currently at the SADED guesthouse again. I came here as this is nearer to the airport and Amit and Hruta live near here. They have apparently fixed an AC here, so the night went pretty good. I also got finally a internet datacard working, but this connection is really slow. No chance to use skype for talking with this... So I'm still not really sure of where I'll stay and all. Apparently the SADED gang also got an AC for the office but the landlord forbid it because it will use more energy.. And it really is a hot place to work otherwise.. So I'll have to see what I'll do. The options are mainly this guesthouse or Riikka's place, where I'm always welcomed if needed. This suitcase life is quite annoying but there's not much I can do but take one day at a time.
